The Bafo BF-810 USB driver is not really the driver from Bafo. But for the chip that the adapter was based on. The Bafo BF-810 USB to DB serial adapter uses a Prolific chip in the adapter. The driver will work with all adapters which uses this Prolific chipset. There might be compatibility issues as this was the last official driver. This for the adapter for Windows 98 to Windows XP and Windows 2000.

This is for a USB host controller using the PL-2303H/HX/X version chip from Prolific. The PL-2303HX chipset is a low cost USB to Serial Bridge Controller from Prolific. This allows you to connect a RS-232 asynchronous serial device to any Universal Serial Bus capable host.
What the PL-2303HX does is emulate the COM port on most operating systems allowing the existing applications based on COM port to easily migrate and be made USB ready. This allows for you to bridge the USB to a serial port by emulating the COM port. Note that the PL-2303HX can connect directly to 5V, 3.3V, or 2.5V devices. Many of these USB to serial bridges are used in printers and other communication devices. There is also the Sager drivers on here.
Once the driver is installed on your Device Manager the Bafo should read – Prolific USB-to-Serial Comm Port. This in the port software or attached device on your computer. Note that this driver was released in 2010. If this does not work on your system then check the website for Prolific here. This one is only for operating systems from Windows 98SE to Windows Vista or Windows 7 with the RC build 7100 or above. You can also see the Linksys wusb600n driver on here. search this website for more Bafo drivers and its internal hardware which is the Prolific UART.
