The adapter is still very popular on Amazon sales long after it initially made the market. The Linksys WUSB54GC Adapter was a compact wireless adapter and gets very good reviews still today. Some questions about the WUSB54GC adapter is that it should work in a USB 3.0 port as USB 3.0 is backwardly compatible. Also that this adapter is not compatible with hostapd for those who wish to know. The used price is about USD40 a piece for those who wish to buy them off from Amazon.

For compatibility mode you would have to extract the files from the zip file. Inside there is another file which you will also need to extract. Find the .inf file and Right Click on the file, then click on properties and then click on compatibility mode. You can choose the operating system from there. There is no guarantee that this will work in comparability mode if you don’t have a Windows XP or Windows Vista machine. Note the hardware ID being USB\VID_13B1&PID_0020. You can see in the picture above that in order to install the driver in Windows 10 you will need to right-click on the netr73.inf or for the USB\VID_13B1&PID_0020 ID to install.
