Longshine LCS-8131G3 USB Wireless

This is another generic version of the Longshine LCS-8131G3 USB Wireless adapter range of drivers. The driver ID only shows as “802.11g USB 2.0 Wireless LAN”. You will note that you cannot use the Longshine LCS-8131G3 USB Wireless on other Longshine adapters as they are all unique in design. Longshine LCS-8131G3 USB Wireless

This is the 802.11g USB 2.0 Wireless LAN card originally meant for Microsoft Windows 98 / Me / 2000 / XP. You can however find a way around this if you are using this old hardware. If you are not running a Windows 98/XP machine then see below what needs to be done. If you are still using the old operating system, then simply click onto the file inside the zip file listed below. Install Longshine LCS-8131G3 

Download the zip file below and extract the content inside the file. From there click on the setup button and install. If you are using Windows 10 or Windows 11 then right-click on the setup file and then click on ‘compatibility troubleshoot” and from there Windows will install it in an emulation mode. If this does not work then try the last option.

Click on the driver directory and then look for the INF file. Now right-click on the file ZD1211BU.INF and then click on the “install” option on the menu. Windows will then install only the bare driver for the hardware. Windows will then tell you that it has found new hardware and install the diver for it. The device and the operating system will now be able to communicate with each other.
