Install a driver in compatibility mode

First, if you’re having trouble installing a driver on your computer, don’t worry! There’s a way to try and make it work. Start by finding the driver file on your computer. Right-click on it and choose “Properties.” In the Properties window, go to the “Compatibility” tab. You’ll see an option that says, “Run this program in compatibility mode for:”.

Now, check the box next to this option. A menu will appear. From the menu, pick the version of Windows the driver was made for. This trick tells your computer to install the driver as if it’s an older version of Windows. After that, click “Apply” and then “OK” to close the window. Next, double-click the driver file again to start the installation. Your computer will now try to install it like it’s an old Windows version. Lastly also see the Motorola Device Manager as well as the Realtek RTL8192CU Wireless Driver.

While it’s installing, your computer will act like it’s using the older Windows version, making it easier for the driver to install properly. Finally, if the installation is successful, your computer might ask you to restart it. After the restart, the driver should be installed and ready to use! This method helps you use older drivers on newer computers.
