See the Silicon Labs UART drivers. There are a number of UART drivers which had been brought to market by Silicon Labs. Below you will find the most common UART drivers which are downloaded from the internet. Like any other software it is best to check your version of your driver first before you install another. If this is newer then the software will simply over right the current older driver.

You can also search this website for the FT232R USB driver which is another driver which you can view. There is also a good explanation in how to setup the drivers for the UART. Read that for more guidance.
Silicon Labs provides different kinds of devices for connecting gadgets to computers. Here are a few:
- CP210x USB to UART Bridge: These are like special drivers that help devices talk to computers. They’re necessary for devices to work properly.
- Classic USB to UART Bridges (CP21xx series): These devices connect gadgets to computers and are both good and affordable. They’re easy to use, have free software, and come in small sizes. Some examples are CP2101, CP2102, CP2103, CP2104, CP2105, CP2108, CP2110-F01-GM, CP2110-F02-GM1, and CP21122.
- USART and LEUART peripherals: These are like special parts inside gadgets that help with communication. They need to be set up in a specific way.
Each device has its own cool features. The one you choose depends on what your project needs! Different projects need different devices based on what they’re trying to do. Likewise see also the CP2102 USB to UART Bridge Driver.
The CP210x USB to UART Bridge is a device made by Silicon Labs. It’s like a special tool that helps you connect gadgets to your computer through USB ports. To make it work, your computer needs special drivers called Virtual COM Port (VCP) drivers. These drivers create a virtual COM port on your computer, allowing it to talk to the CP210x device. The CP210x can also connect directly to a computer using a specific driver.
This device uses a special communication method called USB-Bulk transfer. It’s not a regular USB device because it does something unique—creating a virtual COM port. That’s why it needs a special driver to work correctly.
Many Avnet evaluation boards use chips like CP2102 or CP2104 USB-to-UART Bridge ICs. These chips act as a link between your computer’s USB port and the evaluation board, fooling your computer into thinking it’s talking to a UART device. To make this connection work, your computer needs a driver from Silicon Labs called the CP210x USB-to-UART bridge driver. This driver creates a virtual COM port on your computer.
Important: If you’re using the CP210x device with Windows, make sure you have the right version of the driver (version 6.0 or later). Some software downloads might be affected, so it’s crucial to use the correct driver version for proper support. If you’re using an older version of the driver, there’s also Legacy OS Software available for download. Likewise see also the USB\VID_10C4&PID_EA60 as well as the CP2109 USB to UART.
Silicon CP210x USB to UART Bridge VCP Driver 6.5.3
This is a very old piece of equipment however it is still in use today. This updated driver fixed a memory leak in the earlier software for the hardware. The driver also fixed the BSOD corner case for a write cancellation on the equipment. There was also a bug fix done as the update of the software did not always update correctly. Below is the Windows version as well as a Linux version. Note that tis driver was released in 2012.
